My husband Alex and I got married on the 8th of April 2018 at beautiful Sri Panwa. It was the best day of our lives and we are still pinching ourselves that we got to have our dream wedding in actual paradise!! Everything was perfect and it is all thanks to the amazing team at Take us to Thailand!
A destination wedding is always something both Alex and I had always dreamed of. The beautiful weather, a stunning venue and that relaxed ‘holiday’ feel.
I had no idea where to even begin with the planning a wedding let alone an overseas wedding. We met with Anna and Rachel about a year and a half out from our wedding. Where we discussed our visions, budgets and everything else wedding related.
We then travelled to Thailand to visit about 5 or 6 venues. Anna organised for us to visit each venue over about 2-3 days. All of the guides that showed us around spoke great English and were more than happy to answer all of our questions and take photos of the venue. It was on the third day when we FELL IN LOVE with Sri Panwa. The resort is absolute perfection. When we walked up to Baba Nest (where the ceremony is) our jaws literally hit the floor. It is truly breath taking. We instantly both knew that it was the one!
After our trip the planning begun. Anna and Rachel always gave us lots of options and ensured that we stayed within our budgets. They were always both only an email/phone call away. About three weeks out from our wedding I was feeling very nervous and anxious (as any bride would be coming up to the big day) I had expressed this to Rachel via email one afternoon. Rachel then called me on a Sunday afternoon we we spoke for well over an hour. She went over every single detail with me, we discussed our itinery for the day even offering last minute changes if I wanted. This made me feel so much more relaxed and at ease!!
Finally our big day had arrived! It was such a relaxed morning with Lisa Allen and her team doing our hair and makeup. She is absolutely amazing at what she does as well as this she is one of the nicest ladies I have ever met! We used Tony Potts as our photographer, he is also amazing! He made us feel comfortable and relaxed for all of our photos! We are currently waiting on our coffee table book of our wedding photos to arrive which we cannot wait to see! His photos captured our day beautifully, a true professional. I HIGHLY recommend Lisa and Tony to anyone getting married in Thailand!!
Our wedding day was beyond perfect, everything went according to plan and I didn’t have to worry about a thing! Anna and Fiona came with us- thank god! They were always there when I needed something, even offering myself and the bridal party cocktails between photos, introduction etc. Our guests had the most amazing time! Many of them asked me how I had organised and pulled off such an amazing overseas wedding. Or ‘wow this must have been so hard to organise?’ The answer is Take us to Thailand, I didn’t really have to do anything exept show up! It was such a stress free experience both the planning and the wedding day!
The day after the wedding Anna organised for us to have ‘Farewell drinks’ at the Brasserie Yacht Club. It was great! So much food which we were not expecting! Great drinks and great location, literally on the beach!
Having a destination wedding is the best descision I have ever made! It was like having a week long celebration with your closest friends and family with you! We highly recommend anyone contemplating to do so!
